Ciaran is an alumni of the 2025 Untouched World Foundation Fashion Reimagined Programme and now graduate of the Fashion Design programme at Otago Polytechnic.

Ciaran says of his time on our programme,

“I have a strong sustainability focus in my fashion work, but being in this programme, surrounded by such inspiring people gave me hope that our generation will change the trajectory for Aotearoa and hopefully, eventually, the world.”

Fashion reimagined programme graduate takes the win at id dunedin fashion awards

Bachelor of Design (Fashion) graduate Ciaran Naylor has won the McMillan & Co first place prize, as well as the Cooke Howlison Mini Sustainability Award at the 2025 iD International Emerging Designer Awards with his collection ‘New Patina’, a “reimagining of early 20th-century working clothes in a modern fashion context, blending ruggedness with elegant contemporary male dress.”

Ciaran comments on his outstanding achievement,

“This past week I was among 22 finalists in the iD Dunedin International Emerging Designer Awards. To be recognised at such a scale was incredibly reassuring and validating for me, and I’m now looking for the next step in my career, where I can grow, and further explore sustainable design.”
